PURPOSE:To form an ignition coil having a capacity covering a wide range arbitrarily as well as to ensure connecting of high voltage cables by dividing a secondary bobbin vertically regarding its central axis into plural parts and forming grooves on one side of the connecting planes and projections on another side to engage them each other. CONSTITUTION:A secondary coil bobbin 3 is engaged in a periphery of a primary coil 1 and on a periphery of the coil bobbin 3, plurality of winding grooves 12 are arranged to wind the secondary coil 4 dividingly. A secondary terminal of this secondary coil 4 is connected to a high voltage cable 6 through a terminal fitting 7 which is tightly stuck to side of a high voltage cable holding piece 5 consisting of hard insulating material and is covered with a synthetic resin layer 9. There are three projections arranged on the end surface on the high-tension side of the secondary coil bobbin 3 and these stand with being engaged in three joint dents 10 of the high voltage cable holding piece 5. Also in insertion holes 11 of the upper ends of said projections, the end of the high voltage cable 6 is inserted and fixed to. In addition, the secondary coil bobbin 3 can be divided into three parts at two points vertical regarding the central axis, namely a left end parts 3a, right end part 3b and middle part 3c. |
