PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a server client system capable of improving individual authentication level inexpensively and versatilely. SOLUTION: This server client system A is provided with a portable storage medium C for storing prescribed information, an user terminal P for removably connecting the storage medium C, and a server device S which is connected with the user terminal P via prescribed telecommunication lines INET for authenticating a user and provides executable application in the user terminal P to the user terminal P authenticated for the user. The server device S is provided with a manufacturing number receiving part 21, the number being memorized in the storage medium C connected with the user terminal P when the user terminal P and the storage medium C are connected and capable of identifying the storage medium C; an user authentication part 24 for authenticating the user based on the manufacturing number received by the manufacturing number receiving part 21; and an application driving part 26 for driving a prescribed application to the user terminal authenticated for the user by the user authentication part 24.
