The purpose of the present invention is to provide an automatic tool changer which can improve accuracy of a position of grasping and transferring tools from a tool holder unit, and can simply expand a containing space of tools in a state of leaving an existing tool holder unit as it is. The automatic tool changer for containing a number of tools, comprises: a tool holder unit including a tool holder on which a plurality of tool receiving parts for containing tools are formed, and a base part on which at least one tool holder is installed; a gripper for grasping tools contained in the tool receiving parts; a Z-axis transfer unit which transfers the gripper in a longitudinal direction; a Y-axis transfer unit which transfers the Z-axis transfer unit in a longitudinal direction; and an X-axis transfer unit which transfers the Y-axis transfer unit in a transverse direction. In regards to this, in order to facilitate additional expansion of the tool holder unit, at least one tool holder unit is arranged, and is installed such that a base part of the tool holder unit is connected by a coupling member in a transverse direction. |
