摘要 FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out spiral computer tomography examination. Pathologic lesion is visually detected on computer display monitor by interpreting image density. Three-dimensional reconstruction of the visceral organs of various volumes is carried out on the basis of density data. Virtual surgical intervention is carried out by removing the neoplasm on computer display screen and evaluating the remaining part of the organ. Computer tomography examination is done at the peak concentration of contrasting non-ionic agent saturating portal vein or hepatic artery or when introducing the contrasting agent in single injection accomplished in two stages - at the peak of hepatic artery saturation with the contrasting agent and at the peak of portal vein saturation with the contrasting agent.
