The invention relates to a device for controlling deliberate movements of a floating body which is located in a closed container filled with a liquid. The floating body (14) consists of a, preferably elongated, hollow body (15) in which a compressible bubble (17) is arranged which is filled with a gaseous medium, the outer casing of said hollow body (15) being provided with holes. The floating body is arranged in a box-shaped container (1) which is connected to a supply vessel (reservoir) (13), which is fitted outside the container, for the liquid, and to a pump (10) which is connected in between and has a reversible pumping direction. Fitted on the two mutually opposite end surfaces (6, 7) outside the container (1) are devices (which can be acted on by electrical current, can be switched on and off and whose polarity can be reversed by means of a switch) for producing an electrical or magnetic field in the liquid located in the container, which field interacts with an iron core which is located in the hollow body. Two DC magnets (9) are in each case arranged one above the other on the end surfaces of the container in order to produce a magnetic field, which magnets are connected to a DC source such that identical poles face the interior of the container on both sides. In this case, the iron core which is fitted in the hollow body (15) consists of an elongated permanent magnet (18). <IMAGE>
