PURPOSE:To enable the measuring of the density of bromine ions contained in a bioliquid to be inspected easily with a high accuracy by a method wherein a measuring electrode of a specified structure is set in the bioliquid and a potential level of a working electrode is changed cyclically in a specified range with respect to an opposed pole to measure a change in current. CONSTITUTION:A measuring electrode is set in a bioliquid within the same tank as covered with a high polymer membrane-like matter having fine poles which allow bromine to pass through an electrode comprising a working elec trode composed of silver and an opposed pole made of a stainless steel and a reference electrode composed of silver/silver chloride in a bioliquid but none of coexisting substances such protein. Then, the potential level of the working electrode is caused to change cyclically in a range of -0.5 to +0.5V vs. Ag/Agcl and then, in the range of +0.5 to -0.5V vs. Ag/AgCl with respect to the oppo site pole and the resulting current is measured as peak value of an oxidation wave and a reduction wave to be obtained continuously to determine the density of Br ions contained in the bioliquid to be inspected from a calibration curve prepared. This enables the measurement of the density of bromine ions in the bioliquid quickly and accurately by a handy operation. |
