CROSSING PEDESTRIAN COLLISION PREVENTION SUPPORT DEVICE USING FRONT ROAD SURFACE INFORMATION

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crossing pedestrian collision prevention support device which predicts the braking distance of a vehicle including cases wherein a road surface state changes during braking and provides information for a driver when a collision against a crossing pedestrian is predicted. SOLUTION: This crossing pedestrian collision prevention support device, using front road surface information, provides information for a driver in proper timing wherein the vehicle does not collide against a crossing pedestrian in a traveling direction by predicting the braking distance of the vehicle by using the front road surface state and information on change points provided from the roadside while taking cases wherein the front road state is changing into consideration.
