The metal coated electrical conductive glass fiber (2) for imbedding in a plastic mass (1) and/or rubber mass as initial product is claimed. The glass fiber has a narrow length distribution and its volume related average length and diameter ratio is 25-50. The length distribution of the glass fiber has a relative span width of (DV 0 . 9-DV 0 . 1)/DV 0 . 5 = 2. The length of DV 0 . 1, DV 0 . 5 and DV 0 . 9 denotes the cumulative volume fraction for 10%, 50% and 90%. The glass fiber has a logarithmic normal distribution regarding its length. The metal coated electrical conductive glass fiber (2) for imbedding in a plastic mass (1) and/or rubber mass as initial product is claimed.
