PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device by which printing processing is performed in response to a vague printing instruction such as an instruction that double-sided printing is performed only when the double-sided printing is possible. SOLUTION: This printer 1 performs the double-sided printing only when the double-sided printing is possible, and performs the printing processing by selecting a paper feeding tray where paper is placed the most as a paper feeding tray, or selecting a paper ejection tray to which the paper is not ejected or a paper ejection tray where the number of sheets of ejected paper is the smallest as a paper ejection tray based on the detected result by a sensor in each part in response to the vague printing instructions such as the instruction that the double-sided printing is performed only when the double-sided printing is possible, that the paper is fed from the paper feeding tray where the number of sheets of remaining paper is the largest, or that the paper is ejected to the paper ejection tray where there is no paper or the paper ejection tray where the number of sheets of paper to be ejected is set to be large. Therefore, the printing processing is appropriately performed while restraining the occurrence of an error, whereby availability is improved. |
