PURPOSE:To enhance the separation efficiency of gaseous H2 by using a separation membrane which is produced by adding diisocyanate to a polycondensation product of both pyridine-dicarboxylic acid or its derivative and dibasic acid dihydrazide. CONSTITUTION:Diisocyanate such as hexamethylene diisocyanate is added as a cross-linking agent to a polycondensation product of both pyridinedicarboxylic acid and/or its derivative and dibasic acid dihydrazide such as malonyldihydrazide, and the mixture is cast on a glass plate and dried, and thereby a membrane is formed. Since the membrane obtained by such a way is excellent in permselectivity of H2 and high in strength, separation of CO2 and H2 can be efficiently performed.
