<p>An optical communication system set up at a low cost and not needing to use any special connector and to change the mounting positions of a transmission unit and a reception unit. The optical communication system includes a plurality of electronic devices (20a and 20b) at least one of which has a wireless optical communication function and which are connected via an optical communication channel (13). The optical communication channel (13) includes a body portion (13a) made up of an optical fiber cable and input/output portions (13b) connected to the ends of the body portion (13a) through connection portions (15). The input/output portions (13b) are constituted of optical fibers each having a cross section increasing from the end of the body portion (13a). It is possible to visually judge whether or not communication between the electronic devices (20a and 20b) are being performed.</p> |
