<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an operational burden in selecting a major domain from a structured document. <P>SOLUTION: An information processing device for selecting a major domain in a specified structured document comprising a plurality of domains is provided with an attribute information generating part for analyzing a control character to specify a display structure of the structured document, and generating geometric attribute information of each of the domains, and a major domain selecting part for selecting the major domain from a plurality of domains by comparing the attribute information. Preferably, the attribute information generating part uses a display area or display area ratio of each domain as the attribute information, and the major domain selecting part selects a domain with the greater display area or display area ratio as the major domain. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
