PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shape analysis device of endoscopes surely detecting an occurrence of a position display error of an endoscope insertion section. SOLUTION: This apparatus is provided with: a coordinate acquisition means 41 for acquiring a plurality of coordinate values of the endoscope insertion section 20; a storage means 42 for storing the acquired coordinate values; a straight line setting means 43 for setting a first straight line and a second straight line B for comparing the position with the first straight line A based on the plurality of coordinate values; a coordinate transformation means 44 for transforming the coordinates of the past second straight line B' and calculating a third straight line B" based on the relative positional relationship between the past first straight line A' stored in the storage means 42 and the present first straight line A; and a determination means 45 for determining the presence/absence of an error of the position display of the endoscope insertion section 20 based on the positional relationship among the present first straight line A, the present second straight line B and the third straight line B".
