<p>A device for continuously grinding the edges of moving metal foil (3) comprises a stationary support (5) on which a mobile support (7) can slide perpendicular to the strip (3). The mobile support comprises a pivoting arm (11) the ends of which are provided with a roller (15, 17) for guiding the strip (3), lower (23) and upper (25) dressing rollers, an upstream toolholder (29) with at least one tool (31, 33) for dressing the edge and a downstream toolholder (35) with at least one tool (37, 39) for chamfering the edge. The mobile support (7) is brought into contact with the edge of the strip by the application of an adjustable pressure (47, 49) to the guide.</p> |
