摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display device in which a spacer height has little variation and a spacer has a stepped portion, to provide a radiation-sensitive resin composition to be used for the method, and to provide a liquid crystal display element.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display element 10 includes a first substrate 2 and a second substrate 3 disposed opposing to each other, a plurality of spacers 4 on the second substrate 3, an insulation film 5 on the first spacer 2, a spacer pedestal 6 on the insulation film 5 in at least one portion opposing to the top end of the spacer, and a liquid crystal held between the first substrate 2 and the second substrate 3. The insulation film 5 on the first substrate 3 and the spacer pedestal 6 on the insulation film are collectively and integrally formed by using a radiation sensitive resin composition when the insulation film 5 is patterned into a desired shape having a contact hole 7.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
