PURPOSE: A press type die set assembly is provided to fix an upper and a low plate to a press machine and to selectively install a punching ball and a die block corresponding to a product in the upper and the lower plate. CONSTITUTION: A lower portion of a die block(36) and the upper portion of a punching block(38) are protruded in both sides to form step portions(40a,40b). An upper and a lower plate(32,34) are curved in a central direction, corresponding to the step portions to slide the die block and the punching block. Then, the die block and the punching block don't get loose caused by the vertical movement of the plates with a holder. A setting unit oppositely sets the die block and the punching block on the plates. Thus, the die block and the punching block are selectively set in a press type die set assembly as needed.
