PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize quality and to enhance productivity by packing a carbonaceous material with specific values of average particle diameters into a plurality of boxes, installing the boxes in a graphitizing furnace for graphitization process, and then performing a homogenizing process through mixing and agitating. SOLUTION: A predetermined number of graphite boxes placed in specific positions within a graphitizing furnace are mixed and the degree of graphitization is controlled to reduce fluctuation of product quality. In this case, a carbonaceous material with average particle diameters of 5 to 50 μm is packed into the plurality of boxes, which are in turn installed in the graphitizing furnace and subjected to graphitization process. Thereafter, a homogenizing process comprising mixing and agitating is effected. The homogenizing process is effected using a mixer equipped with a container-fixed type planetary motions screw; i.e., the specific mixer is selected, the degree of graphitization is used as the target of control, and the plurality of boxes deliberately arranged in the furnace are mixed to keep the fluctuation rate of the degree of graphitization within a certain range. Thereby the battery performance is prevented from varying to obtain advantages in terms of costs and to stabilize product quality. |
