<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum unit which does not damage a developing roller and suppresses change of jitter when a drum is taken in and out in an axial direction. <P>SOLUTION: The drum unit which is provided with helical gears having equal number of teeth and different torsion angles at both ends of the drum, in which a pitch circle diameter of one gear is made to be smaller than a drum circle diameter, the pitch circle diameter of another gear is made to be larger than the drum circle diameter and further phase of teeth of one drum gear and phase of teeth of another drum gear are shifted by a prescribed angle, is used. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
