PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an offset printing apparatus which can carry out adjustment at start of printing and can continuously print without further adjusting, and to provide an offset printing method. SOLUTION: The offset printing press comprises a sheet-like or a band-like blanket to be used for receptive transfer of ink; two axes for supporting the blanket by being arranged vertically to a printing direction on a printing block; a pressure sweeping mechanism for pressure sweeping between the two axes supported by using a pressurizing tool from a rear surface of the blanket by opposing the blanket surface to a printing plate surface or a printing work surface; and a mechanism for controlling a pressure value of the pressure jig. Herein, the pressure jig is composed of a cylinder. Further, a mechanism for measuring dimensions of the ink transferred to the printing work surface, is arranged. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
