PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radar system capable of stably demonstrating all possible functions even at the presence of effects of noise in part due to sunlight etc. SOLUTION: The radar system is provided with both a reception output noise detection means (a light receiving circuit 20 and an operation part 4) for detecting the intensity of noise contained in data outputted from a receiving part for every detection region and a region propriety setting means (the operation part 4) for determining a range (a saturation region) in which a saturation phenomenon has occurred and a range which is not saturated but the intensity of noise is too high on the basis of a distribution of detected noise intensity to scanning locations, executing a region invalidation setting for invalidating detection regions located in the ranges for detecting objects, and executing a region validating setting for validating detection regions except them for detecting objects.
