<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a light receiving power change in an optical receiving apparatus by forming a planar and uniform optical power distribution. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided transmission units 101 and 102 composed of light sources 111a-111h and light sources 112a-112h arrayed linearly, the transmission units 101 and 102 are disposed while facing each other with an installation range 136 for the optical receiving apparatus inbetween, and an optical receiving apparatus 200 receives both optical signals from the transmission units 101 and 102.
