<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode active material for a nonaqueous electrolytic solution secondary battery with excellent cycle characteristics and load characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: In the cathode active material for the nonaqueous electrolyte solution secondary battery having a lithium transition metal compound oxide of a spinel type crystal structure, the lithium transition metal compound oxide is not only in a shape of a particle, but has at least a sulfate group on the surface of the particle, with a quantity of 0.16 to 1 wt.% to the total of the lithium transition metal compound oxide and the sulfate group. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
