LCD HAVING A LOW LEVEL DIFFERENCE TO PREVENT DUST FROM STICKING ON A SURFACE OF AN ACTIVE MATRIX SUBSTRATE

PURPOSE: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) having a low level difference is provided to prevent dust from sticking on a surface of an active matrix substrate without increasing the size or deteriorating the performance in the LCD apparatus. CONSTITUTION: The LCD apparatus includes a TFT(Thin Film Transistor) substrate(11), an opposite substrate(12) and a liquid crystal layer between the TFT and opposite substrates. Plural signal lines(13) in parallel extended with each other and plural scanning lines(14) vertically extended to the signal lines are mounted at the TFT substrate. Plural pixel electrodes(17) related to TFTs(18) are arranged at the crossing portions between the signal lines and the scanning lines in a matrix. Signal terminals(16) are provided to the end portion of the signal line, whereas scanning terminals(15) are provided to the end portion of the scanning line.
