<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external storage medium management system that disables the use of USB memories and others beyond their use limits. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The external storage medium management system includes an operation log information detection part for detecting operation log information about file access to an external storage medium on a computer terminal, an external storage medium use limit decision part for identifying the file subjected to the file access by the detected operation log information, acquiring file authority information representing use authority associated with the file, and deciding use limit information about the external storage medium according to the acquired file authority information, and an external storage medium use limit setting part for setting the decided use limit information in the external storage medium on the computer terminal.
