[Problem] To eliminate defects due to arrangement of a pair of electrode parts in a dye-sensitized solar cell. [Solution] A dye-sensitized solar cell 1 wherein: a second substrate 5 is arranged so as to face a first substrate 3 and so as to form a space therebetween; and the second substrate 5 comprises a projected flat surface part 5e that protrudes beyond a fourth edge 3d of the first substrate 3 in one direction. A conductive film layer of a photoelectrode 7 is provided on a surface of the first substrate 3, said surface facing the second substrate 5. A conductive film layer of a counter electrode 9 is provided on a surface of the second substrate 5, said surface facing the first substrate 3. A porous semiconductor layer 14 is provided on the photoelectrode 7. The above-described space is filled with an electrolyte layer 12. A first electrode part 17a is provided on the projected flat surface part 5e. A second electrode part 17b is provided on the projected flat surface part 5e, and is connected to the counter electrode 9. A lateral collector line layer 15a is formed on a lateral surface 3e of the fourth edge 3d, and is electrically connected to the photoelectrode 7. A solder 19 electrically connects the lateral collector line layer 15a and the first electrode part 17a with each other.
