DATA FORMAT CONVERSION DEVICE, BUFFER CHIP AND METHOD

Provided are a data format conversion device, buffer chip and method. A control module is set for sending a control instruction to a conversion module when getting a data copy command by setting the data format conversion device on the buffer chip in a memory; and a conversion module is set for completing data format conversion of data to be converted and memory address mapping on the basis of the received control instruction. By these, the problem of extra occupying calculation resource and calculation time of an accelerated calculation unit caused by setting the data format conversion unit in the accelerated calculation unit in prior art is avoided, the data transmission volume between a main memory and a device memory is reduced without extra occupying calculation resource, and the accuracy of the calculation is ensured while the efficiency of the calculation is improved.
