摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical frequency control device capable of securely stabilizing an output light frequency to a desired value inexpensively with a simplified constitution. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical frequency control device, there are provided a first error signal detection part 1 including a first optical filter 111 and a second error signal detection part 2 including a second optical filter 112, and an output optical frequency of a variable wavelength laser 10 is controlled by a double control loop. When transmission characteristics of the first optical filter 111 and the second optical frequency 112 periodically change, a period of the first optical filter 111 is set longer than that of an optical frequency reference unit of the second optical filter 112, and a half period of the first optical filter 111 is set longer than a variable wavelength range of the variable wavelength laser. Hereby, an absolute optical frequency of the output light of the variable wavelength laser 10 can be detected in the first error signal detection part 1, and it can be stabilized to a desired optical frequency with high accuracy in the second error signal detection part 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
