<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup apparatus in which beam formation can be performed appropriately at the same time while suppressing the increase of the number of parts. <P>SOLUTION: This apparatus is provided with a two wavelength laser 101 emitting laser beams of two kinds of wavelengths λ1, λ2 from the same CAN, and a forming lens 102 forming beam shapes of the laser beams emitted from the two wavelength laser 101. The forming lens 102 is formed by sticking two lenses 102a, 102b arranged in the direction of an optical axis, In these lenses, the curvature of a cylinder surface and an abbe number are adjusted so that almost the same beam forming operations are given for laser beams of wavelength λ1, λ2 as a whole. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
