An index extraction system for generating an index section of a screen capture video according to the present invention comprises: an interface display unit which displays a user interface, adapted to record a screen in response to a request from a user, on a screen displayed on a display; a recording unit which performs screen recording when a screen recording button is selected from the user interface displayed by the interface display unit, and generates recorded data in a period from a time, at which the screen recording button has been selected, to a time, at which a record termination button is selected, when the record termination button is selected; and an index frame generation unit which, when the screen recording is performed by the recording unit, detects specific event signals, corresponding to screen transitions, among event signals input via an input device, and generates an index frame at a location, at which each of the specific event signals is detected, in the recorded data. The index frames are displayed at locations, at which the index frames are formed, in an image form. Accordingly, the index extraction system for generating an index section of a screen capture video, which can analyze information of user input to each page of a presentation material and can extract a starting portion of a page of a portion, in which the largest input information has been input, as a thumbnail, can be provided. |
