PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform guidance display of the degree of focus at a position where a subject to be subjected to focus adjustment is displayed, and perform guidance display of focus where obstruction of visual recognition of the subject is reduced.SOLUTION: A display control device comprises: display control means that controls to display a live view image photographed by imaging means and display a display item indicating the degree of focus overlapped on the live view image; moving means that moves a display position of the display item on the live view image on the basis of a user's operation; acquisition means that acquires information on the degree of focus regarding a focus detection area based on the display position of the display item; and changing means that changes a display form of the display item on the basis of the information acquired by the acquisition means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
