PURPOSE: To suppress the increase of the number of parts and simplify the assembly of a router by providing an adjusting mechanism for cut groove depth, connecting the mechanism with a spiral thread on the motor housing, and providing an adjusting ring which is rotatably connected with the base of the router. CONSTITUTION: The router has an adjusting ring 126 which engages with a spiral thread 118 formed on the periphery of the motor housing 102, and fits the base 108 rotatably. The motor housing 102 can not rotate against the base 108 due to the engagement between a groove 112 formed in the bore of the base 108 and a protrusion 124 formed on the motor housing 102. Accordingly, the rotation of the adjusting ring against the base 108 causes longitudinal movement against the base 108 of the motor housing 102. A desired cutting groove depth is maintained by tightening and fixing the adjusting ring against the motor housing 102 and the base 108. Thereby, a change of the cutting groove depth can easily and quickly carried out. |
