COVERING METHOD OF MAIN CABLE IN SUSPENSION BRIDGE

PURPOSE:To increase economic effect, durability, and workability, by adopting a covering method of a main cable of which shielding material is light and extensible and also can be easily applied. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of vertically split cylinders 2, 3 made of sysnthetic resin and produced on the basis of the length between respective cable bands 03 of the main cables of a suspension bridge and the outer diameter of the main cables 01 are fitted to the external face of the main cable 01 coated with a rustproof paste 04. The mutual axially and vertically split edges of respective vertically split cylinders 2, 3 and the mutual circumferential edges thereof are welded together to cover the external face of the main cable 01.
