PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new red-colored phosphorescent compound having a skeleton giving a further more excellent character than those of conventional red-colored phosphorescent materials, and an organic EL device containing the same. SOLUTION: This organic phosphorescent compound is expressed by chemical formula (I) [wherein, L is an organic ligand; R1to R5are each a substituent such as H, an alkyl or the like; R11to R14are each a substituent such as H, an alkyl or the like and they may form a ring by bonding with each other], and the organic EL device obtained by using the above compound as a light-emitting material is also provided.
