PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing PEEK fibers which is excellent in spinning stability and can efficiently obtain PEEK fibers, by using a laser melt-electrospinning method.SOLUTION: A method for producing PEEK fibers according to the present invention includes: irradiating a polymer sheet mainly composed of PEEK with a band-like laser beam to linearly heat and melt the end part of the polymer sheet; providing an electric potential difference between a band-like molten part which has been molten and a fiber collection plate, thereby forming needle-like projection parts on the band-like molten part; flying fibers ejected from the needle-like projection parts toward the fiber collection plate; and collecting the fibers on the fiber collection plate or a collection member interposed between the band-like molten part and the fiber collection plate, thereby obtaining the PEEK fibers. The melt viscosity (400°C) of the polymer sheet is 160-300 Pa s, and the polymer sheet includes a component (A) and a component (B).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
