PURPOSE:To improve sensitivity and durability by providing a photosensitive layer contg. a specific disazo pigment. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive layer contg. the disazo pigment expressed by the formula is provided on a conductive base. In the formula, R1 denotes a hydrogen atom, halogen atom, nitro group, cyano group, alkyl group which may have a substituent, aryl group, aralkyl group, aryloxy group or alkoxy group. A and A' respectively denote a residual coupler group having a phenolic OH group, Ar1 and Ar2 respectively denote a carbon cyclic arom. group or heterocyclic arom. group which may have a substituent. Either or both of the carrier generating efficiency and carrier transfer efficiency in the photosensitive layer are thereby improved and the electrophotographic sensitive body having the high sensitivity and durability, and above all, the excellent potential stability during long-term use is thereby constituted. |
