<p>PURPOSE:To detect an emission control ratio of a catalizer for emission control so accurately. CONSTITUTION:This detector consists of a feedback compensating means, varying a feedback compensation factor of an I element for setting fuel injection timing, according to the output value of a first oxygen sensor 16, feedback compensation factor control means (2060-2062), varying a period of increase or decrease of the feedback compensation factor from another period at the time of usual emission control in the case where a catalytic emission control ratio is measured,and a measuring means, varying the feedback compensation factor with the period being set by these feedback compensation factor control means, and measuring the catalytic emission control ratio according to at least the output value of a second oxygen sensor 18. According to this method, since the emission control rate of the catalyzer to be detected is controlled by optimum feedback frequency, the emission control ratio is accurately measurable.</p> |
