<p>An apparatus (1) for containing a needle, comprises a hollow body, having a first end (2) and a second end (3) having a side wall (100) between the first end and the second end. The first end (2) and the second end (3) each having an opening. The side wall (100) of apparatus (1) includes at least one portion (101) that is movable from a position that allows a needle to enter the hollow body to a position that retains the needle in the hollow body. Typically, the side wall (100) includes at least one flexible section (102, 104) that allows at least a part of portion (101) to remain in the needle retaining position. Preferably, the side wall (100) also includes at least one portion (110) extending from the first end (2) to the second end (3) that is not movable to a position that retains the needle in the body.</p> |
