PURPOSE:To reduce the blended amount of binder without deteriorating the surface strength of a coated layer and obtain a high density colored image by adding a smectite clay to a layer containing an electron-receptive color former in a pressure sensitive copying sheet on which a colored image is formed by chemical reaction between an electron-donative color former and the electron- receptive developer. CONSTITUTION:A smectite clay is added to a layer containing a developer, such as the developer layer of an intermediate copying sheet and a lower copying sheet of a pressure sensitive copying sheet, or the color forming layer of a self-contained sheet having a mixture of microcapsules and a developer on the same surface of the support. The smectite clay is as shown by formula I, and the content of the clay of the developer layer ranges from 0.1 to 10pts.wt. for 100pts.wt. of the developer, preferably from 0.5 to 5pts.wt. Thus the surface strength of the developer-applied layer of the pressure sensitive copying sheet does not deteriorate, if the blended amount of a binder is reduced and the color forming property are excellent. |
