<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve output performance and exhaust characteristics by suitably compensating the dispersion caused by individual difference of a fuel injection valve. <P>SOLUTION: The maximum value of an injection rate of a fuel injection valve and the deviation quantity between actual timing and injection start command timing are measured (S10). While calculating the correction quantity of target fuel pressure in a common rail on the basis of the maximum value of the injection rate, the correction quantity of the command timing is calculated on the basis of the deviation quantity (S20). These correction quantities are stored in the QR code provided to the fuel injection valve (S30). When the fuel injection valve is mounted in an engine, the correction quantity is read from the QR code and stored in the ECU for controlling the engine. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
