<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recycle toner while electrostatically holding recovered toner onto carrier and suppressing abnormal images caused by soiled base, graininess deterioration, and to maintain high quality image despite lapse of time by efficiently charging toner and restraining the advancement of developer deterioration. <P>SOLUTION: A cleaner is provided for a developing device that uses two-component developer composed of toner and magnetic carrier holding the toner and that has a supply mechanism for successively supplying fresh developer or fresh carrier. The cleaner includes: a discharge mechanism for discharging an excess of developer out of the device; a recovery mechanism for recovering toner remaining on the image carrier after a transfer process; and a return mechanism for returning the recovered toner to the developing device. In the cleaner, the fresh developer or the fresh carrier is stored in a toner recovering section 602 and successively conveyed to the developing device 3 as required. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
