The piping has a casing (2) comprising a surface part that constitutes a transparent portion to permit transmission of light along its thickness. A flexible illumination unit (3) produces illumination effect and is positioned inside the casing. The unit is formed by a fluorescent tube using neon and having a small diameter, where the tube performs a cord function. An end of the fluorescent tube cooperates with a wire connection (10) that is connected to a current transformer (9) and to an electric energy supply (8). The unit is of SOFTWIRE (RTM: Caliber Europe) brand.
