Basement construction system for existing building - erects root piles, concrete floor slab, foundation tunnels and shafts, and provides ceilings in excavated space

The system is for construction of a basement under an existing building. Root piles are placed on either side of the existing supporting walls, the walls are cut horizontally and supported via beams on these piles, an excavation is made under the foundations resp. a basement, and a supporting reinforced concrete slab to support the building is erected. One or more foundation tunnels are dug in the footings area of the lowest storey to be constructed; shafts are excavated between concrete slab and tunnels; piles are erected on bases in the foundation tunnels, to support the concrete slab. The remaining ground is then excavated, and the intermediate ceilings for the remaining basement storeys are constructed.
