An exhaust section of a gas turbine which can cool portions around a strut and a bearing without decreasing the efficiency of the gas turbine. A gas turbine is also provided. The exhaust section of a gas turbine is provided with a casing (11) having a gas path (7) formed inside, a bearing (12) rotatably supporting a rotor blade of a turbine (4), a strut (14) extending inward from the casing (11) and supporting the bearing (12), an opening (18) formed in the casing (11), and a cooling channel (17) extending from the opening (18) toward the bearing (12) along the strut (14) in order to guide an air of a lower temperature than the exhaust gas flowing through the gas path to the gas path (7) and opening to the gas path (7) on the downstream side of the final stage rotor blade in the turbine (4).
