PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize downsizing, cost reduction, and high reliability of a chip type fuse in which heat generation, fire accident or the like in an electronic equipment caused by over-current caused by a short circuit or the like in the electronic equipment is prevented. SOLUTION: The chip type fuse is provided with a first end part 1a which is joined to a printed circuit board, a first electrode 1 on which a second end part 1b is formed, that is constituted to have a level difference with the first end part 1a, a first end part 2a to be joined to the printed circuit board, a second electrode 2 on which a second end part 2b is formed having a level difference with the first end part 2a and facing the second end part 1b of the first electrode 1, a conductor 3 which connects the second end part 1b of the first electrode 1 to the second end part 2b of the second electrode 2, and an insulating protector member 4 to cover this conductor 3.
