<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substance specifically inducing expression of RXR (retinoid X receptor) and PPAR-γ (peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-γ). <P>SOLUTION: Collagen induces the expression of RXR and PPAR-γ, and can be used as a metabolism promotor for lipid and sugar, or an effective component of foods and drinks. As collagen, a soluble collagen, a collagen peptide or the like is preferable, an aquatic organism-originated, especially a salmon-originated collagen is preferable.
