BULK LENS, LIGHT EMITTING BODY, LIGHT RECEIVING BODY, LIGHTING EQUIPMENT AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING BULK LENS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aspherical lens for obtaining desired illuminance by effectively condensing the stray light component or the like of a light source such as an LED without using a reflection mirror at the outer periphery part of a lens medium.

SOLUTION: The shell-shaped or egg-shaped bulk lens 20 is constituted of: a bulk lens medium 4 having an outer periphery part comprising an outside top part 3, a bottom part and side surfaces parallel with an optical axis; and a housing part 6 provided inside the lens medium 4 toward the outside top part 3 from the bottom part. The recessed part ceiling part 2 and the recessed part side wall part 5 of the housing part 6 provided inside the lens medium 4 function as first lens surfaces (2 and 5) and the outside top part 3 of the lens medium 4 functions as a second lens surface 3. The light source 1 or a photodetector is housed inside the housing part.
