The linear compressor (1) has a piston housing (2) and a compressor piston (4) movable reciprocally along an axis (3), whereby the compressor piston is mounted in the piston housing with the aid of a housing wall (6) with openings (5) and a gaseous fluid flowing through the openings. The linear compressor also has an outflow device (16,16',16'') for fluid condensate. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a cooling device (B) and a method of cooling goods with the aid of an inventive cooling device.
