PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of action, in a receiving device of transferring apparatus for conveying rod-shaped articles of a tobacco-processing industry and a method for transferring rod-shaped articles of the tobacco-processing industry. SOLUTION: In the receiving device 15 of the transferring apparatus 16 for conveying the rod-shaped articles 6 to 6'''', especially filter rods 6 to 6'''', wherein the receiving device 15 is equipped with first braking apparatuses 3 and 3' for decelerating the rod-shaped articles 6 to 6'''' and accelerating apparatuses 4 and 4' for accelerating the rod-shaped articles 6 to 6'''', and accelerating articles 4 and 4' are arranged in the down stream of the first braking apparatuses 3 and 3', a transfer speed-limiting apparatus 10 is installed between the first braking apparatuses 3 and 3' and the accelerating apparatuses 4 and 4' and the articles 6 to 6'''' are decelerated to first prescribed speed in the first braking apparatuses 3 and 3' and limited to a second prescribed speed in the transfer part following to the first braking apparatuses 3 and 3'.
