PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder kneading method by which powder including a low melting point material such as starting material for low melting point toner can well be kneaded in a kneading machine without causing heat adhesion and to provide a kneading apparatus. SOLUTION: The powder kneading method comprises the steps of (a) supplying powder to a powder kneading machine and (b) kneading the powder supplied in the step (a) in the kneading machine. The kneading machine is provided with (i) a barrel which has pins on the inner wall and (ii) a screw which is disposed within the barrel and has elements for transferring the powder under kneading.
