<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broken piece removing instrument for removing broken pieces of a root canal treatment instrument left in the root canal of a curved/deformed tooth. <P>SOLUTION: The broken piece removing instrument 300 includes a handle 312 to be held, an elastic guide plate 314 projecting from the distal end of the handle, and a wire 316 to fasten the broken pieces at the distal end of the guide plate. The wire has the proximal end located on the inner side of the handle, and extends along the guide plate to the distal end of the guide plate to form a loop 318 at the distal end of the guide plate.
